Chimp Mail
I just learned about this list manager for ezines. It is “forever free” for 500 subscribers or less. It looks user friendly. If you decide to try it will you send me your review of their service? Chimp Mail
I Wear Your Shirt
Tanya passed this along this article and it’s very interesting -
Now take a look at their site and YOU tell me what your thoughts are! I Wear Your Shirt
WordPress.org
This past year we’ve been designing new websites using WordPress.org – it’s not just for blogs! You most likely will not be able to tell that it is a WP site. The one advantage is that you are able to update/change things on your site with limited html knowledge. In many cases, this is even better and more cost effective than installing a Content Management System. Take a look at all the “plug-ins” that WP has to offer: There are currently over 6,500 plugins and they are always adding new ones. Three of the most popular ones we’ve installed have been calendars, forums and video. If it’s time for a site redesign and you’d like to do your own updates, ask us for a free quote for designing your website using WordPress.
iPhone App Developer
We recommend you contact Chris Hansen at xenon@alphapixel.com if you’d like an iPhone App developed – he’s an expert!
Google Analytics
We are now including this installation on every new site we design. For those of you who don’t have it - I'd recommend you set up a Google account. You will need to confirm the account email otherwise we would do this for you. Once you setup the account, email us your login/pw. Then we will install the scripting for Google Analytics on your website(s) - it takes about 15 minutes per site to install. Nothing is visible to the visitor. This will allow you to track statistics. It’s user friendly and easy to interpret. For those of you that prefer we review the stats and make recommendations we offer a Quarterly Statistics Analysis service. Send us an email if you’d like a quote for your site.
Opt-in Page for FaceBook
Some of you may be interested in having an opt-in box on your Facebook fan page. Tanya set this up on a site recently at Marketing for Success.
And here is a blog article on it.
Julie & Julia
The Kitchen Table Cooking School is doing some fun marketing tied to the movie. Bring in your ticket stub and get 15% off any of the classes. They are featuring recipes from Julia Child’s cookbook. Are there ways you can tie in with current movies or events to promote your products or services?
Switching to GMail
As a long-time user of Outlook (and AOL before that), making the switch to a new email program took some doing. At the encouragement and support of Jennifer Wallace with Denver Geeks I made the switch to GMail and so happy I did. If you’re thinking of making the switch, read this great article that may just give you that extra push to do it.
Wheel of Fortune Pet Contest
Submit your pet and you could win the grand prize of $3,000. I submitted a picture of my dog, Heidi.

Personally Speaking
Fall is a great time to be out in nature. The magnificent elk are bugling and leaves on the trees are turning bright golds/reds. In these challenging times there is a sense of peace, calm and wonder being outdoors. Enjoy the change of seasons wherever you are! ~ Anita
